Introduction: Unraveling Misconceptions
When you hear the word Vodou, what comes to mind?
For many, it’s fear. Shadows. Myths of curses and dolls, shaped by media that never bothered to understand the truth.
But Vodou is not darkness. Vodou is not evil.
Vodou is ancient. Sacred. Healing. Divine.
And within its depths, there are paths of pure white light — traditions that serve only the highest good, protect the soul, and bring people back into alignment with love and spirit.
“There are paths of Vodou that are purely devoted to healing, service, and spiritual light.”
– Priestess Shoshana
What Is “White Light Vodou”?
“White Light Vodou” is not a modern invention or watered-down practice. It is a dedicated spiritual path within the Vodou tradition that calls only upon benevolent Mystères — the spirits known as the Lwa — who walk in alignment with divine will and universal harmony.
In these paths:
- Rituals focus on healing, cleansing, ancestral elevation, and blessing
- Practitioners work with balanced spirits who protect, guide, and uplift
- All energy work is done in accordance with free will, justice, and spiritual ethics
- The goal is to restore wholeness, awaken intuition, and create stability in the soul
This is a Vodou path rooted in truth, integrity, and devotion — not fear.
“White Light Vodou is a sacred discipline. It is not love-and-light fluff — it is serious spirit work guided by compassion and divine law.”
My Journey into the Light
My own life began in chaos.
I come from an alcoholic family, where survival was the norm. I suffered from insomnia, depression, and the haunting feeling that I would never find my way.
But meditation saved me.
And through meditation, I found Vodou.
Not the Vodou of movies and nightmares, but the real tradition — full of love, healing, discipline, and transformation.
I was called by the Lwa not to harm, but to heal.
Not to control, but to serve.
Through this path, I built a life.
I moved from instability to spiritual mastery, from trauma to the world stage as a psychic and priestess, helping others break through their fears, ghosts, and inherited pain.
A Personal Battle With Darkness
There was a time, early in my spiritual path, when I was targeted by a dark spiritual force.
It wasn’t metaphorical. It was real. The attacks came in dreams, then in waking life. Strange illnesses, shadowy figures in the night, people close to me suddenly turning against me without reason. The energy was heavy, toxic, and deliberate.
I knew what it was.
I was being tested — not just by the force itself, but by the spirit world.
I had every tool to fight. I could have summoned power to strike back.
But something in my soul said: “Do not meet shadow with shadow.”
Instead, I lit candles and sang.
I called in Ayizan, the guardian of spiritual wisdom.
I washed my floor with herbs of peace.
I bathed in white milk and honey.
I offered light, not war.
I forgave the source of the energy — even when I knew where it came from.
I loved the darkness back into silence.
And that was when I understood:
This is what White Light Vodou is about.
Not weakness — but courageous compassion.
Not avoidance — but higher mastery.
The force dissolved. My body healed.
And in its place, my spiritual authority expanded. I stepped deeper into priesthood.
The Lwa honored the choice I had made — to be a vessel of elevation, not retaliation.
“You can conquer darkness through love — but only when your love is rooted in the mysteries.”
The Lwa of Light We Call Upon
In our temple, we call on the Mystères who serve the light:
- Ayizan – The mother of initiation, protector of truth and spiritual growth
- Kuzan – Keeper of silence, plants, and sacred healing breath
- La Siren – Goddess of the sea, beauty, dreams, and emotional wisdom
- Ogou – Warrior spirit of protection, courage, and justice
- Erzulie Freda – Spirit of divine love, beauty, grace, and heart-centered vision
- Erzulie Dantor – Fierce mother of revolution, protection, and righteous fire
These are not “light” in the sense of weak.
These are powerful spirits of transformation, clarity, and compassion — the kind of power that heals trauma, clears spiritual blockages, and restores your sacred path.
Why This Path Matters
In a world of chaos and confusion, many people are being spiritually awakened.
But they don’t know where to turn.
They want power — but not darkness.
They want mysticism — but not manipulation.
They want tradition — but not dogma.
That’s why White Light Vodou Paths matter.
They offer a rooted, honest, and safe way to walk with the spirits — without fear, without harm, and without losing your soul in the process.
“White Light Vodou doesn’t run from power — it reclaims power as something sacred.”
